Applications are invited to fill a vacancy on Council’s Environmental Health Team.
This position offers variety, challenges and an opportunity to excel. The successful applicant will have experience in supervising staff with a focus on customer service as well as a background in undertaking investigations in accordance with legislative guidelines. The challenges may be in a variety of fields such as animal management, camping, commercial use of roads, waste management as well as beach and environmental protection.
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Queensland Local Government Officers Award – State and Burdekin Shire Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement. The applicable salary is to a ceiling of Level 5 ($72,099pa). Commencing salary shall be dependent upon the skills and experience of the applicant. Flexible working conditions include a 9-day fortnight, 5 weeks annual leave including loading, locality allowance and 12% employer superannuation.
