A disc of photos has been produced for those Home Hill residents wanting to relive the 2012 Home Hill Centenary celebrations.
Burdekin Shire Council Economic and Community Development Manager Tony Vaccaro said the CD contained images from the Back to Home Hill Week events.
“The CD has photographs from the Cemetery Plaque unveiling at EW Ford Park, the official opening of the Home Hill Cemetery gates, the unveiling of the Centenary Monument at the Home Hill Comfort Stop, the opening of the refurbished Burdekin Diorama and the Up River Land Ballot Centenary Celebrations,” he said.
“The photos were taken by local photographer Saskia Vollema-Creek and are a great record of the events that were held to commemorate this historic event.”
Mr Vaccaro said the CD would be a great addition to the 2011 commemorative disc that also was still on sale.
“There is also plenty of Home Hill Centenary merchandise still available such as shirts, stubby coolers, wine glass coolers and tea towels,” he said.
The CDs can be purchased for $20 at the Shire Chambers in Ayr, Home Hill Library or via the Council’s website www.burdekin.qld.gov.au
