The Burdekin River has reached its predicted peak of 10.9 metres at the Burdekin River Bridge at Home Hill and is now receding.

Water is currently over the Rita Island Bridge and on the Groper Creek Reserve continuing until early Sunday morning.

Residents of Rita Island and Groper Creek should continue to monitor heights.

No further rises shall occur.
