Burdekin residents have a chance to learn what will be available to them on Cyclone Saturday at a stall to be held in Queen Street, Ayr, next week.
Cyclone Saturday organiser Eileen Robinson said a stall would be held in front of the Rockmans store from 10am until 2pm on Tuesday (October 23).
“We will have posters to give away and we also will be displaying products residents can collect at Cyclone Saturday,” she said.
Cyclone Saturday will be held on October 27, on the former junior soccer fields adjacent to the PCYC on Macmillan Street, Ayr from 2pm to 5pm.
Ms Robinson said Cyclone Saturday was designed to raise awareness of the services available to Burdekin residents during an emergency.
“All of the emergency services will be represented and to make it a fun day for the whole family there will be free entertainment including, jumping castles, slides, bouncy boxing, skirmish, a merry go round and face painting as well as market stalls,” she said.
“There will also be food and drinks available and all monies raised from food will be donated to the local charities.”
