Story Time and Baby Rhyme Time are back

Now is the time to visit your local library, because Story Time and Baby Rhyme Time are back!

Burdekin Library Community Outreach Services Co-ordinator Bonnie Johnson said children were guaranteed a morning of fantastic stories, songs and craft.

“With the weather heating up, families can escape in to the coolness of the library and the children can have some fun,” she said.

Ms Johnson, 24, recently joined the Burdekin Library from the Townsville Library.

“I had been involved in Story Time and Baby Rhyme Time in Townsville and really enjoyed it, so when this position came up I applied and was fortunate to get it,” she said.

“I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone here and introducing children to the fun of reading and being at the library.”

Story Time is on at 10.30am every Wednesday in Home Hill and Friday in Ayr.

Upcoming themes include family, imagination, Valentine’s Day (love) and actions.

Baby Rhyme Time is held the first Saturday of the month in Home Hill and every other Saturday in Ayr, starting at 9.30am.
