TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
BURDEKIN WATER FESTIVAL – SATURDAY, 1ST SEPTEMBER, 2012
The public is advised that temporary road closures will take place on Saturday 1st September, 2012 in conjunction with the Burdekin Water Festival.
6.00 a.m. to 1.00pm – Early erection of Sideshows
Edwards Street will be closed between Queen Street and MacMillan Street.
1.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. – Procession
Sections of Queen, MacMillan, Mackenzie, Young and Edwards Street will be closed.
5.30 p.m. to 12.00 midnight – Mardi Gras
Queen Street will be closed between Mackenzie Street and Parker Street.
Edwards Street will be closed between MacMillan Street to the Queen Street side of the Queens Hotel Bottle Shop access.
Young Street will be closed between Graham Street and MacMillan Street.
From 1.00 p.m. to 12.00 midnight all highway traffic will be redirected to travel along Graham and Railway Streets.
PLEASE NOTE: DURING THE CLOSURE, TAXIS WILL BE RELOCATED TO EDWARDS STREET BETWEEN QUEEN AND GRAHAM STREETS.
