Bruce Highway – Killymoon Creek to Tindall Court, south of Townsville

The Department of Transport and Main Roads will start construction works on the Bruce Highway between Killymoon Creek and Tindall Court, south of Townsville in late March 2013 until mid August, weather permitting.

Working hours will be 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

The project will construct a one kilometre, northbound overtaking lane between Killymoon Creek and Tindall Court.

Earthworks, culvert replacements, drainage works, pavement stabilisation and bitumen sealing will be completed as part of the project.

For the safety of motorists and workers, traffic controllers will use traffic signals, single lane closures and and speed restrictions as required.

Important information for excess dimension vehicle operators

Operators with loads in excess of 3.5 metres in width intending to travel on this section of the Bruce Highway must contact Site Supervisor, Zane Knowles on 0408 884 582.
