Burdekin Shire pool operations are still being disrupted by a shortage of liquid chlorine.
Council’s Environmental Health Manager Tracy Jensen said the Council had received adequate supplies to keep the Ayr and Home Hill pools open.
“At this stage however, the Clare and Millaroo pools will remain closed until further chlorine supplies are delivered,” she said.
“Deliveries of chlorine are still intermittent and Council is endeavouring to keep supplies up to the pools to enable them to remain open.
“Our priority will still be to maintain our water and sewerage treatment plants for the safety of residents.”
