Burdekin residents will this week receive a copy of the draft strategies the Burdekin Shire Council will use to service the region.
Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Bill Lowis said it was important residents took the time to read the information about the draft Corporate Plan and provide Council with their feedback.
“This is your chance to tell Council what services and functions are most important to you,” he said.
“Council provides a wide range of services to our community and we would appreciate your feedback.
“We have also included a document which shows examples that apply to the strategies, so our residents have some idea of how the strategies will work.
“The draft Corporate Plan strategies have been mailed to each household in our Shire and we have included a reply paid envelope to allow residents to send us their feedback.”
The Corporate Plan is an overarching plan for all Council’s services and functions, which outlines the strategies and performance measures for achieving the plan’s goals.
