Find your Christmas voice, join the Choir

Fancy yourself a bit of a singer, but too scared to take the stage alone? Why not join the Combined Community Choir and be a part of this year’s Carols on the Green.

Planning is well under way for the event which this year will be held at Watson’s Green in Home Hill on Sunday, December 7.

Production Manager Adam Dudley is encouraging as many people as possible to join the choir.

“The more people we get, the more impressive we will sound and on top of that it should be a lot of fun,” he said.

“I know it sounds strange, but you really don’t need to be a singer to be in a choir.

“What we’re looking for are enthusiastic people who can spare the time for two evening rehearsals and then sing their heart out on the night of Carols.”

Mr Dudley will host two rehearsals at the Burdekin Community Church (opposite the senior soccer fields in Ayr) at 7pm on Tuesday, November 25 and Wednesday 3, December 2.

If you would like to join, simply come along on the first rehearsal night or contact Mr Dudley on 0407 234 485.
