Council is calling for stallholders, sports organisations, businesses and fitness professionals to showcase their products and services at this year’s Burdekin Queensland Week Family Fun and Fitness Expo.
Council’s Community Development Manager Tony Vaccaro said the Expo would be held from 9am-1pm on Sunday, June 7 at ANZAC Park, Ayr.
“Last year’s event was a great success, but we would like this year to be bigger and better,” he said.
“Ideally we are looking for people who could set up stalls featuring health, fitness or lifestyle activities and products.
“This event is a great way for sporting groups, gyms and businesses to give demonstrations or get information to residents wanting to lead a healthy lifestyle.
“Our aim is to make the day fun for the whole family, but also provide some physical activity for all to enjoy.”
Mr Vaccaro said stall holders could register for the event by downloading a form from Council’s website www.burdekin.qld.gov.au or by contacting the Community Development team on 4783 9832.
The Burdekin Shire Council received a $6500 Queensland Government grant to host the Queensland Week event.
