Public Notice – Temporary Groper Creek Jetty and Boat Ramp Closures

Department of Transport and Main Roads contractors will begin sandblasting and maintenance of the Groper Creek Jetty on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. The project is expected to take two weeks to complete. The hours of work are 6am-6pm.

DTMR contractors also will begin shoulder repair work on the downstream boat ramp beginning Monday, March 16, 2015.

Weather permitting the Burdekin community can expect the Groper Creek Jetty and downstream boat ramp to be re-opened by the Easter holidays (April 3-6).

Alternative facilities are available at Wallace’s Landing, Hell Hole, Plantation Creek or Rita Island.
