Council seeks community feedback on proposed intersection change

Burdekin Shire Council is seeking community feedback from shire residents regarding a proposed change to the intersection of Darveniza and Woods Roads in Home Hill.

Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said Council was proposing to build a staggered T intersection to improve safety.

“A preliminary concept plan of the proposed works has been available for public comment through Council’s website and at the Council Chambers, but we want to ensure those who use Woods Road have the opportunity to comment on the design,” she said.

“The proposed intersection will be similar to that of Woods and Groper Creek Road intersection which was altered after an accident.”

Residents wishing to view the preliminary concept plan of the proposed works can access it via Council’s website, at Council Chambers and the Burdekin Library Home Hill Branch Library.
