The Queensland Government, in conjunction with Impact Innovation Group, is offering Burdekin organisations the opportunity to learn about strategic innovation and technology commercialisation.
Burdekin Shire Council Chief Executive Officer Matthew Magin said the free Innovate Queensland workshops would be held at the Burdekin Theatre on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 8.30am to 12.30pm (Innovation-Led Change) and 1pm to 5pm (Commercialisation-Led Change).
“These workshops are designed to help small businesses, not-for-profit organisations and research teams shift their ideas from the drawing board to the launch pad and into the market,” Mr Magin said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our local businesses to access innovation expertise and learn how to reduce innovation development costs and time lags from idea to income, better target market needs and increase market uptake, and integrate innovation into existing enterprises.
“Innovation is a powerful tool that has the potential to grow your business and differentiate it from others in the market.
“I would strongly encourage all organisations considering, or already focusing on, innovation and technology commercialisation to attend.”
The free half-day training workshops are part of the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland Initiative.
Morning and afternoon tea, lunch and workbook included.
Registrations close Friday, February 5, 2016.
