The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises that asphalt works will take place on the Bruce Highway (Eighth Avenue) between First Street and Sixth Street, Home Hill.
Night works will take place (weather permitting) from:
Sunday 4 December to Tuesday 6 December 2016
7.00pm to 5.00am
Throughout the works the Bruce Highway (Eighth Avenue) will be subject to changed traffic conditions, including detours, minor delays and reduced speed limits.
To minimise disruption to road users, detours have been put in place with advanced warning signs and traffic controllers to notify road users of these changes.
Access to properties will be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
What to expect during these works:
- Lane closures and detours
- Minimal access restrictions
- Traffic controllers on site to direct road users
- Speed restrictions and road safety signage
Every effort will be made to minimise noise however, residents and businesses can expect to hear reversing vehicle warning signals. Workplace Health and Safety regulations stipulate that these beepers cannot be turned off, even in residential areas.
TMR regrets any inconvenience causes by these works, and appreciates your patience and cooperation during this time.
