Privacy Awareness Week: Care when you share – 15-21 May

Burdekin Shire Council is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information we collect, hold and share under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act).

This includes meeting the challenges of cybersecurity and data protection in an increasingly connected world.

Privacy Awareness Week (15-21 May) is an opportunity to highlight and strengthen this commitment.

In keeping with the theme for the week: “Care when you share”, members of the community are encourage to protect their personal information, particularly when interacting online.
