The author of bestsellers Lighthouse and Ember Island, Kim will launch her latest novel following a wine and cheese soiree in the Burdekin Library at 6.30pm on Friday 7 July.
A writers’ workshop Preparing to Write Your Novel: Imagining and Planning will also be held at Burdekin Library Ayr on Saturday 8 July, 9.30am to 3.30pm.
The events have been organised by the Burdekin Readers and Writers Association in partnership with Burdekin Library.

Kim has written for as long as she can remember and has an Honors Degree, a Master’s Degree and a PhD from University of Queensland where she is a senior lecturer.
Having written 28 novels in a variety of genres which include horror and fantasy, her workshop should not be missed by those who are interested in either beginning or developing their writing skills.
