The Asian Century Business Engagement (ACBE) plan will run from 1 July 2013. It has been established to assist member-based business organisations harness commercial opportunities in Asia for small to medium sized Australian businesses. Under the plan, eligible applicants can be offered between $20,000 and $300,000 in grants. The grants are merit-based and competitive.
The ACBE Grant Guidelines are designed to provide potential applicants with the information they need in order to make an informed decision as to whether they should apply for a grant under the ACBE Plan. The Guidelines also outline the information that potential applicants will need to include in the application.
Potential applicants should read these guidelines in their entirety, as well as the associated application form and draft funding agreement, prior to making a decision to submit an application. Familiarisation with the Australia in the Asian Century White Paper, in particular chapter seven, is also recommended. The White Paper can be viewed at http://asiancentury.dpmc.gov.au/
