The Burdekin Tourism Association is an independent, not-for-profit organisation of Burdekin residents whose function is to promote the many unique and interesting attractions and features of the Burdekin district to attract more visitors and tourists to the area. The association provides tourists with information to meet their needs and requirements thus ensuring that they enjoy their stay in the Burdekin.
The Burdekin Tourism Association in conjunction with Burdekin Shire Council operates two visitor information centres in the district. Both centres are accredited with Tourism and Events Queensland.

Would you like to have your brochures displayed at the Ayr and Home Hill Visitor Information Centre?
For a small annual fee of $50.00 (including GST), brochures are displayed under one of the following categories:
- Going North
- Going South
- Going West
Brochure service includes:
- staff and volunteers handing out your brochure to persons heading to, or through, your area; and,
- an automated reordering system. The Centre contacts you when brochure supplies get low.
Local business members are invited to participate in the weekly ‘Talking Burdekin Tourism’ segment on Radio 97.1 Sweet FM Inc. on Wednesday mornings from 8 am - 9.30 am. Each week showcases a different tourism operator or business in the Burdekin region.
