When purchasing a property it is suggested that you obtain a Council Rate Search.  Depending on the type of search you request you will be informed of details such as Rates, Town Planning Zones, Water Meter readings, requisitions and details of inspections.

Details

Burdekin Shire Council provides the following rate/property search options:-

Rate search (7 working days processing time)

Includes Rates and Town Planning Zone as well as the last two (2) Water Meter readings.

Rate and Property search without inspections (10 working days processing time)

Includes Rates and Town Planning Zone as well as the last two (2) Water Meter readings.

Includes details of any Building, Plumbing, Engineering (Roads & Drainage), Water/Waste Water/Trade Waste, and Environment & Health, requisitions or defects on the file.

Rate and Property search with inspections inc. GST (15 working days processing time)

Includes Rates and Town Planning Zone as well as the last two (2) Water Meter readings.

Includes details of any Building, Plumbing, Engineering (Roads & Drainage), Water/Waste Water/Trade Waste, and Environment & Health, requisitions or defects on the file.

Includes details of Inspections by each Department.

Includes a Special Water Meter Reading.  Inspection time to be arranged through Council’s Customer Service Centre.

How do I request a rate search?

Please submit any rate search requests on Council’s rate search request form.

Please note:  Searches can not be started until full payment is received.

How much is a rate search?

All the Council fees and charges are available in the Fees and Charges 2016-2017 – Council Services, in the ‘Fact Sheets’ section of this page and on the 2016-2017 Rates Search Form as well, see under ‘Forms’.
