Dingo/Fox Bounty

The Burdekin Shire Council pays a bounty on the provision of dingo scalps or dead foxes.

How do I make a claim?

To claim your bounty bring the scalps into Council’s Customer Service Centre in a sealed container.

The Customer Service Centre will pass the container onto the Animal Control Officer who will count the number in the container and dispose accordingly.

Once the Animal Control Officer has counted the number of scalps  the Customer Service Centre will be notified who will then contact the customer to organise payment.

You will need to provide the following information to the Customer Service Officer:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact details
  • Preferred Payment Option (cheque or cash)
  • Number of scalps

The Customer Service Centre will arrange for a cheque to be mailed or alternately you will be contacted and may return to the Customer Service Centre at the Burdekin Shire Council where you will be given a cash payment.
