Entry Cost
Entry to the Museum of Tropical Queensland is FREE for local residents of Burdekin, Townsville, Thuringowa, Charters Towers and Dalrymple shires. Proof of residency must be produced on entry.
Opening Hours
The Museum is open from 9.30am-5.00pm, 7 days a week. The Museum is not open on:
- Good Friday
- Christmas Day
- The morning of ANZAC Day (25 April) - Opens at 1pm
The museum recommend 2-3 hours to enjoy and explore the six public galleries. Covered shoes must be worn to participate in the cannon firing activity.
The main entrance to the museum is on Flinders Street.
