Council has a number of warning and advisory signage equipment available for hire. Road signs, barricading and other road traffic safety equipment hired from Council is to be paid at Council’s Customer Service Centre prior to such item being collected from Council’s Store by the person/s bearing a Council receipt for same where a hire agreement will be duly signed by both the hirer and the Council’s Store Personnel and signage issued.
If equipment is returned after the agreed return date, but before the one month expiry date, a weekly late fee per item will apply as well as a weekly (or part thereof) hire fee.
If equipment is not returned after one month from the agreed return date, the Burdekin Shire Council will deem the equipment as not returned and will charge the hirer a weekly late fee per item, a weekly hire fee, as well as replacement costs of outstanding hire equipment.
Damages/loss incurred to equipment will be charged to the hirer at current replacement costs.
Note: Council can not advise the public on what signs are required for the road works being carried out. If the person wanting to hire the signs is unsure of what signs are required, they should seek advice from a professional.
