The latest technology and how to protect your personal information are among the topics that will be covered when “Tech Talks with John” resume this Saturday (25/2/2012).
This informal fortnightly series of talks by Burdekin Library Manager John Scott are designed to provide an overview of some of the technology trends and issues that may be of interest to residents.
Mr Scott said some of the topics would include internet safety, the Facebook timeline and how to protect your information and how to use your laptop and mobile phone when on the road.
“Tech Talks is a fun and informal way of understanding some of the current technology trends and how it might be applied to residents,” he said.
“We have run this successful program for the last two years and community members are invited to join us on this technology journey.”
The hour-long sessions are held fortnightly on a Saturday morning from 10.30am at the Burdekin Library in Ayr.
Participants are encouraged to suggest topics they would like to see covered as the content is flexible.
