Local Government Act 2009

  1. Burdekin Shire Council (the “Council”) has proposed to make Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2012 (the “proposed subordinate local law”).
  2. The proposed subordinate local law amends Subordinate Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads) 2012.
  3. The local law which authorises the making of the proposed subordinate local law is Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads) 2012.
  4. The purpose and general effect of the proposed subordinate local law is to regulate camping at each of the Home Hill Comfort Stop and Funny Dunny Park.
  5. Written submissions by any person in support of, or objecting to, the proposed subordinate local law are invited for a 21 day period commencing on Wednesday, 1 August 2012 and ending on Thursday, 23 August 2012 (the “consultation period”).
  6. During the consultation period Council will make available for inspection and purchase at Council’s public office at 145 Young Street, Ayr and on its website www.burdekin.qld.gov.au copies of the proposed subordinate local law.
  7. Submissions must be received on or before Thursday, 23 August 2012 stating—

(a) the grounds of the submission; and

(b) the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.
