Burdekin Shire Council is currently seeking applications for a Mechanical Fitter within the Water and Waste Water section.
It is essential that applicants have a trade qualification of Fitter and Turner or Boilermaker and extensive experience in machine shop including lathe and plasma cutting operations. Applicants should provide details of any experience they have in calibration, fault finding and carrying out plant investigations including hydraulic and pneumatic actuators. Please list your work experience and qualifications in your resume.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Engineering Award – State and Burdekin Shire Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement. The applicable salary is to a ceiling of C7 ($55,083pa) with the commencing salary dependent upon the skills and experience of the successful applicant. Flexible working conditions include a 9-day fortnight, 5 weeks annual leave and 12% employer superannuation.
