Council will be carrying out upgrades to the 375mm water main in Railway Street, Ayr between Burke and Macmillan Streets on Tuesday 3 December 2013.
These works will result in a loss of water supply between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm and will affect residents and businesses in Queen Street (Red Rooster, Cascade Caravan Park) and MacMillan Street. Affected residents and businesses will be notified individually via a letter drop.
Residents nearest to Railway Street specifically Burke, Cameron, Wilmington, Munro, Graham, Queen and MacMillan Streets may experience water discolouration for a period following the planned works. It is advisable to delay washing of clothes etc. for up to two days after work is completed.
Council regrets any inconvenience that may be caused to residents as a result of these necessary maintenance works.
