The popular “Tech Talks with John” kicks off its third year at the Burdekin Library Ayr on Saturday, February 9.
Library Manager John Scott said this year’s sessions would feature some new topics as well as some favourites.
“Our goal is to assist the community in understanding new technologies and how they can be applied to you,” he said.
“It’s a very informal way of getting an introduction to the digital world we live in.
“One of our most important topics will be on cyber safety which is a major issue for those who are online.
“Some of the other topics will include how to do grocery shopping online, how to use Pay Pal, Facebook safety, learning about tablets and smart phones and how to download e-books.
“Participants also will have the opportunity to ask questions at each session and request session topics.”
Sessions for “Tech Talks with John” are held every second Saturday commencing on Saturday, February 9 from 10.30am-11.30am at the Burdekin Library in Ayr.
