More than 40 acts with about 83 performers will line up for their chance at fame in this weekend’s Burdekin Fast Track Talent Showcase.
Among the confirmed list of acts are singers, musicians, duets and dancers who will be vying for prizes totalling $2000, as well as the chance to perform in front of a panel of judges who act as scouts for The Voice and X Factor.
Yoyo Music Pty Ltd Fast Track Talent Event Producer Max Harman said the Fast Track Talent team were blown away by the response to the event.
“The amount of Burdekin people wanting to show their talent has exceeded our expectations,” she said. “It’ll be a great event.”
Burdekin Shire Youth Council coordinator Tammy Quagliata said there were still tickets available for Saturday’s event.
“Not only do we have local talent on show, but The Clique and Frank Dixon also will perform at the Final Showcase,” she said.
“So if you are looking for an afternoon filled with fantastic entertainment the Burdekin Theatre will be the place to be this weekend.”
There are still tickets available for the heats ($10 – general admission to all heats) and the Final Showcase $20.
Performers will attend a workshop with The Clique and Frank Dixon at 10am. Heats will be held at 1pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm and the Final Showcase will kick off at 7.30pm.
