Burdekin Shire Council is pleased to announce Dan Mulcahy as the new Manager Governance and Local Laws.
Council’s Chief Executive Officer Matthew Magin said Mr Mulcahy had a wealth of knowledge about the Burdekin and local government.
“It’s really great to be able to keep that knowledge in Council and I’m very happy he accepted the position,” he said.
“This position was created during the recent restructure of our organisation.”
Mayor Bill Lowis said Mr Mulcahy’s experience was of great benefit to the Shire.
“I’m really happy he has accepted this position and look forward to continue working with him on the betterment of this Shire,” he said.
“This role is more focussed and will take advantage of Dan’s knowledge.”
Mr Mulcahy said the new role would offer a new form of excitement and challenge.
“I am looking forward to undertaking this role as well as I can and look forward to continuing my relationship with the CEO, senior management, staff and council,” he said.
As Manager Governance and Local Laws, Mr Mulcahy will be responsible for governance, local law administration, grants, property, environment and health.
