Businesses and community groups now have the opportunity to update their details on the Burdekin Shire Council website via an online form.
Economic and Community Development Manager Tony Vaccaro said Council had created an easy-to-use online form for businesses and community groups to use to register their details on the Council directories.
“Council’s website is a one-stop shop of information for any potential investors, visitors and residents and it is important that we have the correct information available to them,” he said.
“We are currently updating all the online directories and categorising them into business, community (not for profit) and also ensuring the Calendar of Events is up to date.
“Letters and forms have been sent via mail and email to businesses currently listed on the directories, so if you haven’t received these notices, please contact Council.
“We review these directories regularly and want to ensure we have the correct information available.
Mr Vaccaro said the deadline for submissions for the directories was March 7, 2014.
Anyone who has not returned their form or confirmed that their details are correct on Council’s website may be deleted from the directories.
