NDRRA Activation following Tropical Cyclone Ita – assistance announced

The Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services has approved the activation of the jointly funded Commonwealth/State Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).  The area defined for receipt of the NDRRA relief measures is “Communities within North Queensland affected by Tropical Cyclone Ita and associated rainfall and flooding, 11 – 14 April 2014” which includes the Burdekin Shire area.
 
The Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services approved the relief measures for Natural Disaster Assistance (Concessional Loans) for Primary Producers and Freight Subsidies for Primary Producers.
