Wanted – community representative for Burdekin Shire River Improvement Trust

Are you passionate about the Burdekin River and its environs? Would you like some input into how to best protect and use the river? Then you may be interested in applying to be a Community Representative Member on the Burdekin Shire River Improvement Trust. This will be a four-year commitment and Trust members are remunerated.

The Trust’s main role is to plan, design, fund, undertake and maintain improvement works to benefit the community. Applicants who can demonstrate an understanding of the local environment and show a proven ability to work collaboratively in consultation with stakeholder groups, while thinking strategically and also addressing environmental, engineering, financial and other considerations are encouraged to apply.

Applications close 5pm on Friday, March 14, 2014.
