There was fantastic talent on display at the Burdekin Fast Track Talent Showcase at the weekend with more than 30 acts taking part.
Burdekin Shire Mayor Bill Lowis attended the Final Showcase and said he was very impressed by the high calibre of talent on show.
“It was a great night and the entertainment was first class,” he said.
“If you haven’t been to this event, make sure you get to the next one. It is money well spent to see how much talent there is in this region.
“Hundreds of locals packed into the Burdekin Theatre to enjoy the night’s entertainment.”
Cr Lowis said 20 contestants were put through to the final Showcase.
“Judges commented that it was the hardest showcase they have ever had to judge as all of the performers were of a very high standard,” he said.
“Guest performer Trent Bell was definitely a crowd favourite especially when he performed at the end of the Final Showcase for fans.
“He also took the time to meet and have photos with fans before and after the event.
“He told our team that he was thrilled to be in the Burdekin and to be a part of Fast Track and said he will be back.”
