Burdekin residents will receive a summary of the Burdekin Shire Council Corporate Plan in their letterbox this week.
Council’s Chief Executive Officer Matthew Magin said the document was a shortened version of the full Corporate Plan which was adopted by Council in February.
“The Corporate Plan is a result of community feedback and we have sent out a copy of the summary so everyone understands what direction we will be taking for the next five years,” he said.
“The full copy of the Plan is available online from our website, but for those who don’t have access to a computer we have a limited number of printed copies available.
“This document will guide our operations and forms the basis of our budget.”
Mr Magin said residents also would find an insert in the summary highlighting Council’s priority projects for the coming year.
“The insert explains what projects we will be working towards completing in the next year and our regional wishlist of projects that will depend upon state and federal funding,” he said.
“This list will be updated annually.”
Residents who have not received a copy of the Corporate Plan summary can collect one from the Council offices in Young Street.
