Burdekin Shire Council in conjunction with Ayr Chamber of Commerce and Townsville Business Development Centre is offering Burdekin businesses the opportunity to master social media as a marketing tool.
Economic Development Group Chairman and Moore Stephens Queensland (Burdekin) Business Services Principal Danny Horan said the Social Media Workshop would be held at Ideas@108 above the Burdekin Library in Ayr on Tuesday, December 8 from 3pm-5pm.
“Reality is people are either buying or making buying decisions online and if your business doesn’t have an online presence I just don’t think you will compete,” he said.
“This workshop is a fantastic opportunity for our local businesses to dip their toe into the world of social media and to understand how simple and inexpensive it can be to use social media tools to build your business profile and develop a sales pipeline.
“I would strongly encourage all business owners to attend.”
The workshop, supported by Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS), will cover hashtags, pins, tweets, shares and which social media platform is best suited to your business.
Cost is $22 per person and participants are invited to attend the Ayr Chamber of Commerce Christmas Networking Function following the workshop.
