Little Red in the Hood coming to Burdekin Theatre

Once upon a time an old fairy tale got a makeover to bring it into the 21st century – that is what Little Red in the Hood is all about.

Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said the modernised version of the children’s classic Little Red Riding Hood would be at the Burdekin Theatre on Monday, 25 July, from 10am.

“This production would be perfect for children aged from three up to 11 years,” she said.

“It’s great to see old fairy tales get a modern twist and this one puts Little Red in the midst of a modern day drama with a local troublemaker, Walter – the Big Bad Wolf.

“There will also be an opportunity for residents to meet the characters in the Theatre Foyer after the show and get pictures with them.”

Tickets are $10 per person and are available now from or by coming into Council’s Customer Service Centre or phoning 4783 9800.
