The Home Hill Harvest Festival is an annual event that celebrates the end of the sugar harvesting season and has been running since 1963.
The celebrations include a wide variety of family events and culminate in a Grand Parade and Mardi Gras.

A week-long program of events culminates in a street parade and mardi gras at Home Hill. Other events include the Burdekin Bride of the Year, fun run, pet show, mini-market day, agricultural display, talent show and gala ball.
