AncestryLibraryEdition Search for your Ancestors on-line (ACCESS AVAILABLE AT THE LIBRARY ONLY)

Step 1: Log on to any public computer at Burdekin Library in Ayr or the Home Hill branch.
Step 2: Click on the Ancestry icon.
Step 3: From the homepage you can do a search of the entire database by typing in the name of the person you are searching for and any other details that may help you identify a particular individual. Click “Search”.

Good Reading’s Hub for Book Lovers is where you’ll find loads of articles about books and authors plus independent reviews of the latest books. There are many by Australian authors, as well as some old favourite books that we need to be reminded of, just because they are so good! At the Good Reading Hub you will be encouraged to read outside genres you normally would by helping you to try a new author or book. So enjoy having a poke around. We hope you find a good book to read!

PK mag is an Australian digital only magazine for primary kids published by Good Reading Magazine. Creative work from book reviews, poetry, short stories, artwork, photography or stories are included. If you’ve created something or been involved in creating something it can be published!

 

 

State Library of Queensland membership is required to access these databases

The State Library of Queensland (SLQ) provides access to a large number of authoritative eresources: online journals, newspapers, magazines and websites, online training courses, company information and Australian standards, legislation, music scores and recordings and encyclopedias. Much of the information in these eresources is not available freely elsewhere on the web. The two databases below are just some of the content available from the State Library of Queensland.

Gale Virtual Reference Library offers encyclopaedias and reference sources for research on many topics. Use them for quick help or doing homework assignments.
