Applications Now Open for Burdekin Regional Arts Development Fund
Published on 26 February 2026
Burdekin Shire Council is inviting local artists, community groups, and organisations to apply for funding through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) to help bring their creative projects to life.
With applications closing on Monday 30 March 2026, now is the time to submit your proposal for funding support. Whether you are planning an arts-based workshop, event, or creative initiative, RADF may provide the financial assistance needed to turn your idea into reality.
Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Pierina Dalle Cort encourages local creatives to take advantage of the funding opportunity.
“The Regional Arts Development Fund plays a vital role in supporting and growing our local arts community,” Mayor Dalle Cort said.
“It enables individuals and groups to develop and showcase their talents, while also enriching the cultural landscape of the Burdekin.
“It’s fantastic to see so many successful projects come to life through RADF funding, and we encourage anyone with an artistic vision to apply.”
Projects funded in previous rounds include creative and cultural initiatives delivered by the Lower Burdekin Celtic Dancing Association, Burdekin Singers and Theatre Company, Burdekin Uniting Church, Burdekin Shire Youth Council, Burdekin Woodcrafts Association and Burdekin Potters. These projects support workshops, performances and festivals that strengthen local skills development, cultural participation and community engagement across the Burdekin.
Application forms and guidelines are available on Council’s website at bit.ly/RADFBurdekin and at the Council Chambers.
