Water and Sewerage Service Areas

Burdekin Shire Council provides the water and sewerage services to the following townships/areas:

Reticulated potable water

  • Ayr,
  • Brandon,
  • Home Hill,
  • Giru,
  • Mount Kelly (restricted flow),
  • Alva (restricted flow), and
  • a number of rural properties (restricted flow)

Sewerage

  • Ayr,
  • Brandon, and
  • Home Hill

In accordance with section 161 of the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008, Council has declared the relevant areas for the provision of these services. The maps are available on Council interactive mapping service or downloadable documents via the links below.
