Strategic Asset Management Plans

Burdekin Shire Council’s Strategic Asset Management Plan 2025-2030 is a key document that supports Council’s Corporate Plan and helps shape the future direction of our Shire.

This plan outlines how Council manages infrastructure assets over a ten-year horizon and beyond. It provides accurate renewal and maintenance projections to inform Council’s Operational Plans and future Budgets.

The 2025-2035 Strategic Asset Management Plan was adopted by Council on Tuesday 10 June 2025, ensuring it reflects current priorities, asset conditions and community needs.

The Strategic Asset Management Plan offers an overview of proposed expenditure across all infrastructure categories. This document which includes detailed individual asset plans for Transport, Buildings, Drainage, Water Supply and Sewerage is available for download below.
