A range of hands-on art-making activities encouraging children to reflect on climate change and the environment is available at the Burdekin Library during January.
Developed by Australian artist Raquel Ormella in collaboration with Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, the project was inspired by children around the world calling for awareness and action on climate change.

Justices of the Peace Branch (JP Branch) has restarted the JPs in the Community program across Queensland.
The Queensland government’s “JPs in the Community” program was started to give the public consistent and easy access to witnessing services throughout Queensland. A number of local Justices of the Peace have volunteered to help the community by witnessing documents at the Burdekin Library in Ayr. These generous volunteers offer their services between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Tuesdays.
There is an online search for witnessing officers through this link - After-hours JP Search.
