Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) is a highly contagious plant virus that affects tomato, capsicum and chilli crops. It poses a serious risk to Queensland’s primary industries and is spread easily through everyday contact.

The virus can be spread on contaminated:
-Equipment, vehicles and tools
- Hands
-Packaging
-Clothing

Growers are urged to stay alert and regularly check crops for unusual symptoms.

If you suspect ToBRFV, report it immediately to the Department of Primary Industries (DPI). Early reporting is critical to protecting Queensland’s agriculture.
