The Burdekin Aquatic Centre is set to reopen on Saturday 12 September, with the community once again able to enjoy the facility following the completion of major upgrade works.

QBSC/26/058 – REFURBISHMENT OF ACCOMMODATION CABINS – BURDEKIN CASCADES CARAVAN PARK
It is a requirement of these projects that any persons contracted to undertake the building work be accredited under the Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme, established by the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016, at the time of entering into the contract for the building work and maintains accreditation while the building work is being carried out.
The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 applies to the building work associated with these projects. It is a requirement of this project that any person who undertakes the work be compliant with the Code.
The Queensland Government's Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry applies to the building work associated with these projects. It is a requirement of these projects that any person who undertakes the work be compliant with the Code.

Quotations must be lodged electronically via VendorPanel Marketplace by 2:00pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
Council reserves the right to invite all suppliers to change their quotations to take account of a change in the quotation specification.
