Burdekin Shire Council is pleased to announce the return of the Sweet Days Hot Nights Festival presented by Pacific Blue, with the region’s signature celebration of people, produce and culture set to return to the Home Hill Showgrounds on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 May 2027.

Pacific Blue, Parkside and Canegrowers Burdekin will return as presenting sponsors for the 2027 festival, continuing their longstanding support of one of the region’s premier events.

Mayor Pierina Dalle Cort said the 2027 festival would build on the success of previous years while continuing to showcase the best of the region.

“The Sweet Days Hot Nights Festival has become one of North Queensland’s premier regional festivals, celebrating the people, produce and culture that make the Burdekin unique,” Mayor Dalle Cort said. 

“The festival continues to deliver significant economic and tourism benefits for the region, attracting visitors, supporting local businesses and showcasing the Burdekin to a wider audience.

“Following the success of the 2025 festival, which attracted more than 4,000 attendees across two days, including more than 1,300 visitors from outside the region, planning is already underway to deliver another exciting event in 2027.

“Pacific Blue, Parkside Group  and Canegrowers Burdekin have been valued supporters of the festival for many years, and their ongoing commitment helps ensure the event continues the traditions and community spirit that people know and love.”

Pacific Blue Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer Simon Maan said the company was proud to continue its partnership with the festival.

“Pacific Blue is proud to continue its partnership as presenting sponsor of the Sweet Days Hot Nights Festival for 2027,” Mr Maan said.

“The festival celebrates the unique identity of the Burdekin and delivers positive outcomes for local businesses, tourism and the wider community.

Planning for 2027 is underway, with a refreshed brand and visual identity to be introduced alongside the entertainment, cultural experiences, competitions, food, family activities and community participation opportunities that have become part of the festival’s appeal.

Sponsorship opportunities are currently available, with packages designed to suit a range of budgets and marketing objectives.
