Biography
Councillor Delfine (Fina) Vasta is serving her first term as a Councillor for Burdekin Shire Council, having been elected in March 2024.
Fina brings a wealth of experience in administration and hospitality, and has worked as an Administration Officer at the Ayr Police Station since 1998. She is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) and serves as a Workplace Health and Safety Representative within the Queensland Police Service.
Her key areas of interest include arts and culture, supporting both elderly and youth, and fostering inclusive community engagement. Fina is passionate about promoting honesty, respect, compassion, and family values in both her personal and professional life. She is also committed to domestic and family violence education, advocating for greater awareness, prevention, and support services within the community.
She looks forward to working collaboratively with her fellow Councillors and committee members to support the continued growth of community and arts initiatives across the Shire.
Fina has two adult sons and two grandchildren.
