Young people across the Burdekin are invited to enjoy an afternoon of free entertainment, food and fun at Friday Flicks, a special event promoting positive social connections and youth wellbeing during Queensland Mental Health Week.
Friday Flicks is a joint initiative of the Burdekin Shire Youth Council and Burdekin PCYC, delivered as part of Queensland Mental Health Week.
Designed especially for young people aged 12 to 18 years, the event will feature free food and drinks, entertainment, prizes and giveaways before a screening of the much-loved comedy School of Rock.
The event will be held at Burdekin Delta Diner on Friday 16 October, with doors opening at 3.30pm, giving young people the chance to spend time with friends, enjoy activities and grab a bite to eat before the movie starts at 5.30pm. The event concludes at 7.30pm and will be fully supervised, with pass-outs permitted.
The initiative aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where local young people can connect, relax and enjoy a positive shared experience.
