IPA Planning Scheme (Superseded)

This Planning Scheme is now superseded. Please refer to the Burdekin Shire Council Planning Act Scheme that commenced 1 March 2023.

The Burdekin Shire has prepared the Integrated Planning Act (IPA) Planning Scheme as a framework for managing development in a way that advances the purpose of the Integrated Planning Act 1997 by identifying:

• Exempt, self-assessable and assessable development; and
• Outcomes sought to be achieved in the local government area as the context for assessing development.
