Round 3 of the Community Grants Program is now open
Burdekin Shire Council is pleased to announce that applications for Round 3 of the Community Grants Program are now open.
The Community Grants Program is designed to support local groups and organisations that contribute to the social, cultural, environmental and economic well-being of the region.
Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said that the Community Grants Program is a vital way to empower and strengthen the diverse communities in the region.
“We are proud to support the amazing work that our local groups and organisations do to make the Burdekin a vibrant and inclusive place to live, work and play,” Cr McLaughlin said.
“It has been great to see the Community Grants Program support various community events such as the Home Hill Harvest Festival, Burdekin Growers Race Day, Take the Floor and Giru State School’s 100 Year Celebrations.
“Round 3 of the Community Grants program offers eligible incorporated community groups and organisations financial support of up to $5,000 (exc GST) and in-kind assistance.
“Whether it’s arts and culture, sports and recreation, health and wellbeing, education and training, or environmental sustainability, we want to hear from you and help you achieve your goals”.
